Hello and Welcome Goat Lovers!
We started out with our very first American Nubian doe in 1999 on Desert Lane in Gilbert Arizona.
We raised American Nubians for quite some time before purchasing our first registered purebred Nubian doe from Black Mesa Ranch in April 2015 (learn more abut her on the Doe Pen page). In March 2017, we bought Reuel Ginghams Royal Gallifrey also from Black Mesa and with Royal as our first purebred, registered herd sire on Desert Lane… the name Royal Desert was born and it fit like it was meant to be!
In the spring of 2025 we will move our herd to Southern Utah for cooler weather and room to grow!
About Us
Our purebred Nubians come from Black Mesa Ranch, Veteran’s Ranch, Goddard Farm, and M’s Sagebrush, with some Reuel, Jacobs Pride, Goldthwaite, Six M Galaxy, Lakeshore-Farms, Windsong, C&W, and others mixed in! We shopped around intentionally to have a “basket” of lines to build our herd.
Our goal is to help each animal reach her or his greatest potential and that takes time, effort, and patience. Some will be kept, and others will be offered for rehoming—but all will be loved, cared for, and helped to reach the fullest possible measure of their creation.
We’re moving! From Gilbert AZ to Southern Utah to give our critters more room to roam. Our Nubians are g6s normal by ancestry and are tested to be CAE, CL, and Johne’s Free! We put our girls on milk test with AZ DHIA in April 2024 and will continue milk testing.
